ADB (Android Debug Bridge) is a communication channel built into your car's infotainment system. Some vehicles ship with ADB blocked by the manufacturer. These key Chery / Jaecoo ADB key files unlock that block, allowing tools to connect to your car via USB.

The route depends on your vehicle screen family. Open the engineering menu, then open VERSION INFO.

J5 / J7

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to System.
  3. Tap Version information about 10 times until the engineering menu opens.
  4. Open VERSION INFO and copy or photograph the Product ID.

T4 / T7 / J8 / A8 / O9 / FX

  1. Open Settings from the bottom bar.
  2. Go to System.
  3. Tap the small corner icon about 10 times until the engineering menu appears.
  4. Open VERSION INFO and copy or photograph the Product ID.

T8 / T9

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to System.
  3. Tap About about 10 times.
  4. Use the Product ID shown on the Version Info screen.

Enable ADB in 3 Steps

Please read all steps before starting. The confirmation message appears only very briefly.

  1. 01

    Prepare the USB drive

    Extract the ZIP file to the USB flash drive. Place both files in the root of the drive, not inside a folder.

  2. 02

    Insert the USB drive

    Insert the USB flash drive into the car's data USB port. Use the lower USB data port (USB-A most of the time).

    This is the correct USB data port.
  3. 03

    Watch for the ADB message

    A short message should appear on the main car screen. It will contain Chinese characters and the word ADB.

If you are not sure what happened
  • If you are not sure whether the message included ADB, remove and reinsert the USB drive.
  • If nothing appears the second time, ADB is already enabled.
  • If only Chinese characters appear and there is no ADB, the product key is incorrect.
  • Once ADB is enabled, it stays enabled until the system is rebooted.

Check every character. A Chery / Jaecoo ADB key made for the wrong 15-digit Product ID or date won't work, can't be reused, and will not be refunded.
Locked firmware: Chery / Jaecoo ADB keys are only part of the solution. Locked firmware still requires a separate unlock before installing apps.
